​Bass Dulcimer – From Zip to Hip   (TWO-HOUR CLASS)

 
This class will start at the very beginning and take you to a place where you can hold your own as a bass dulcimer player.  You'll learn the fundamentals of playing a bass line - when and what notes to play, in various time signatures; basic chord structure (and why that's important to the bass player); all the notes on a major scale, in several keys, and where to find them on your diatonic fretboard; an easy way to improvise on your bass; and the basics of writing your own bass lines.

We’ll play bass lines for several tunes.  You can use a standard dulcimer if you do not have a bass.
